Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery and implant placements
- Manage patient flow and chairside coordination for 10+ daily appointments
- Perform advanced radiography techniques (CBCT, panoramic, bitewings)
- Implement OSHA/CDC sterilization protocols for all instruments and equipment
- Train and mentor junior dental assistants on best practices
- Oversee inventory management and supply ordering for 5 operatories
- Utilize Eaglesoft and Dexis for digital charting and imaging
- Deliver exceptional patient education on post-procedure care
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of dental assisting experience in a fast-paced practice
- Current DANB certification and Massachusetts radiology license
- Proficiency in digital imaging software (Dexis, Carestream)
- CPR/BLS certification with current renewal
- Demonstrated expertise in infection control protocols
- Strong knowledge of dental materials and restorative procedures
- Exceptional communication skills for patient education
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a high-volume setting
