Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, cosmetic, and surgical treatments
- Perform advanced dental radiography (X-rays, CBCT) with precision and safety protocols
- Manage infection control and sterilization processes exceeding OSHA standards
- Train and mentor new dental assistants on clinical workflows and patient care protocols
- Coordinate patient education on oral hygiene and treatment plans
- Maintain digital patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Current DANB certification and NC Dental Assistant license required
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in a high-volume dental practice
- Advanced proficiency in dental radiography and infection control protocols
- CPR/BLS certification from AHA or equivalent
- Proven experience with digital imaging and practice management software
- Exceptional communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
