Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during complex procedures including implant placements and orthodontic adjustments
- Manage digital radiography and CBCT imaging systems
- Sterilize instruments and maintain OSHA-compliant operatory protocols
- Train and mentor new dental assistants on practice standards
- Coordinate patient flow between hygiene and restorative departments
- Implement infection control procedures exceeding CDC guidelines
- Assist with treatment plan presentations and patient education
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification and Illinois radiology license
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft and Dexis imaging systems
- CPR/BLS certification (must maintain)
- Exceptional communication skills for patient education
- Proven ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Experience with digital impression systems (iTero, etc.) preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
