Responsibilities
- Perform advanced chairside assistance during complex dental procedures
- Manage digital radiography and intraoral imaging systems
- Sterilize and maintain all dental instruments per OSHA standards
- Assist in patient education and post-operative care instructions
- Oversee inventory management and supply ordering
- Train and mentor junior dental assistants
- Coordinate with dental labs on prosthetic cases
Qualifications
- Active California Dental Assistant License (RDA or DAEF required)
- Minimum 3 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Certification in nitrous oxide monitoring and coronal polishing
- Experience with digital radiography (Schick, Dexis, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
- Excellent communication and patient rapport skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Spanish bilingual preferred
