Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and patient comfort
- Process and label specimens according to laboratory protocols
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- Operate automated laboratory equipment and troubleshoot minor issues
- Document patient information and test requisitions accurately
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure timely sample processing
- Provide patient education on pre-test preparation procedures
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NCCT, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced environment
- Valid CPR certification
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
