Responsibilities
- Submit clean claims to insurance carriers and follow up on outstanding accounts
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits coverage
- Review EOBs and resolve claim denials/rejections
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Generate daily reports for revenue cycle analysis
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure accurate documentation
- Perform patient billing inquiries and payment arrangements
- Update patient records with billing-related information
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in medical billing software (e.g., Epic, Medisoft)
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet weekly billing deadlines
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience with EHR systems and electronic claims submission
