Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery, implants, and orthodontics
- Manage digital radiography and imaging systems with precision
- Oversee sterilization protocols and OSHA compliance
- Train junior assistants on clinical workflows and patient care
- Implement infection control protocols exceeding industry standards
- Coordinate patient education on post-op care and oral hygiene
- Maintain digital patient records and practice management software
Qualifications
- Ohio Dental Assistant Radiographer certification required
- Minimum 3 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Expanded functions certification (EFDA) preferred
- Expertise in digital imaging (DEXIS, Carestream)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Proven ability to manage high-volume patient flow
- CPR/BLS certification with current renewal
- Exceptional communication and chairside manner skills
