Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and equipment
- Assist surgeons during complex procedures with instrument passing and hemostasis
- Manage surgical inventory and ensure compliance with OSHA/JCAHO standards
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless case flow
- Document procedures accurately and maintain electronic records
- Train junior staff on advanced surgical techniques
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Level I trauma center OR
- Expertise in orthopedic, neuro, and cardiovascular specialties
- Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification
- Proven track record in high-volume surgical environments
- Mastery of robotic surgical systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and crisis management skills
