Responsibilities
- Perform chairside assisting during complex dental procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical cases
- Manage digital imaging (X-rays, CBCT) and maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software
- Sterilize and maintain all dental instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Coordinate patient flow, prepare treatment rooms, and ensure optimal inventory management
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene techniques
- Assist in dental emergencies and manage infection control procedures
- Mentor junior assistants and implement new clinical protocols
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification from CODA-accredited program
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in a high-volume dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification and knowledge of infection control standards
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to calm anxious patients
- Strong organizational skills with attention to procedural precision
- Valid Washington State dental assistant radiology permit
- Experience with dental materials and impression techniques
