Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for procedures and assist dentists during complex treatments
- Manage digital radiography systems and maintain sterile instrument protocols
- Oversee inventory control and ordering of dental supplies
- Train new dental assistants on clinic workflows and compliance standards
- Implement infection control procedures exceeding OSHA guidelines
- Coordinate patient education on post-treatment care and oral hygiene
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent Virginia license
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft practice management software
- DEXIS radiography and CBCT imaging certification
- CPR/BLS certification with current renewal
- Exceptional patient communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
