Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for treatments and assist dentists during complex procedures
- Take and develop dental X-rays with advanced digital imaging technology
- Maintain strict sterilization protocols and inventory of dental instruments
- Manage patient scheduling and chairside coordination efficiently
- Train new dental assistants on clinic protocols and equipment
- Handle billing documentation and insurance claim processing
- Implement infection control standards exceeding OSHA guidelines
Qualifications
- CDA or RDA certification required (Washington, DC license)
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft practice management software
- DEXIS digital radiography and CAD/CAM experience
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Exceptional chairside manner and patient communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities with multitasking capability
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and dental privacy laws
