Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow, scheduling, and communication across departments
- Maintain sterile exam environments and inventory of medical supplies
- Train and mentor new medical assistants on clinic protocols
- Facilitate patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in a fast-paced medical setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and OSHA standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- CPR/BLS certification (maintained current)
- Ability to multitask effectively in high-pressure situations
- Associate degree or equivalent from accredited program preferred
