Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and point-of-care testing
- Prepare and administer injections/medications per protocols
- Assist physicians with minor procedures and patient examinations
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (Epic EMR)
- Coordinate patient flow and optimize clinical workflows
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- 2+ years clinical experience in ambulatory setting
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional evenings
