Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and automated dispensing systems
- Train and supervise pharmacy support staff
- Process insurance claims and patient billing inquiries
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records
- Coordinate with healthcare providers for medication reconciliation
- Ensure sterile compounding procedures meet regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- 2+ years hospital or retail pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding protocols
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Basic understanding of pharmacology and medication safety
