Responsibilities
- Manage medication inventory, ordering, and compliance with DEA/Board of Pharmacy regulations
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure adherence to sterile compounding protocols
- Process and verify prescriptions for accuracy and safety
- Train staff on new technologies and pharmacy software systems
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication therapy
- Maintain accurate patient records and prescription documentation
- Implement quality control measures for compounded medications
Qualifications
- Active Kentucky Pharmacy Technician license required
- Minimum 3 years of pharmacy technician experience in a hospital setting
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding USP 797 standards
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
