Responsibilities
- Accurately compound, dispense, and verify medications with meticulous attention to detail
- Lead inventory management and ordering for controlled substances and pharmaceutical supplies
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians on best practices and compliance protocols
- Manage prescription processing workflow in fast-paced retail and hospital settings
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain accurate patient records in pharmacy systems
- Collaborate with pharmacists to optimize medication therapy and patient counseling
Qualifications
- Active Oregon Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 3 years of pharmacy experience with leadership/supervision background
- Expert knowledge of FDA regulations, DEA compliance, and sterile compounding
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell, or similar)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to educate patients and staff
- Ability to multitask efficiently in high-pressure healthcare environments
