Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately while maintaining inventory control systems
- Verify prescriptions and counsel patients on medication usage
- Manage sterile compounding and IV preparation protocols
- Train and supervise junior pharmacy technicians
- Coordinate with healthcare providers for prescription clarification
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and pharmacy regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 2 years hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding procedures
