Responsibilities
- Manage prescription verification and processing workflow
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure compliance with HIPAA/D regulations
- Perform sterile compounding for IV medications and chemotherapy
- Coordinate inventory management and controlled substance documentation
- Train staff on new technologies and pharmacy software systems
- Provide patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
Qualifications
- Current California Pharmacy Technician license (CPhT)
- Minimum 3 years hospital/compounding pharmacy experience
- Certified in sterile compounding (ASHP preferred)
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of DEA regulations and medication safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills with attention to detail
