Responsibilities
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations and supervise junior technicians
- Dispense medications with precision and verify prescriptions for accuracy
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory, including ordering and stock rotation
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA, DEA, and FDA regulations
- Utilize advanced pharmacy software for inventory tracking and reporting
- Maintain sterile compounding environments for IV medications
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician license in Texas (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 3 years of hospital or retail pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology and medication safety protocols
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Compounding certification preferred
- Basic understanding of third-party billing systems
