Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and pharmaceutical supply chain logistics
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians on best practices
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records with HIPAA compliance
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy management software
- Compounding sterile/non-sterile preparations as required
- Ensure strict adherence to DEA, FDA, and state pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 3 years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proven inventory management and ordering systems expertise
- Strong knowledge of compounding procedures and sterile techniques
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in prescription processing
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments
