Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with state regulations and hospital protocols
- Supervise and mentor junior pharmacy technicians while maintaining workflow efficiency
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and auditing controlled substances
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing discrepancies with precision
- Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure optimal medication therapy outcomes
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times
- Utilulate electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation and reporting
Qualifications
- Active Florida Pharmacy Technician license
- 3+ years of experience in retail or hospital pharmacy settings
- CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulations and medication safety protocols
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume environments
- Experience with pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS1)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
