Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately under pharmacist supervision
- Manage prescription verification and patient counseling
- Oversee inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Maintain sterile compounding and IV admixture protocols
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and regulatory adherence
- Coordinate with insurance providers for billing accuracy
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician license in Nevada (NV PTCB)
- 2+ years of hospital pharmacy experience
- CPhT certification preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding procedures
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Background check and drug screening required
