Responsibilities
- Supervise pharmacy technician team and ensure compliance with state/federal regulations
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications using automated systems
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Process insurance claims and maintain accurate patient records
- Train new technicians on pharmacy protocols and software systems
- Collaborate with pharmacists on workflow optimization and quality initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician certification required
- Minimum 2 years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- PTCE certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of DEA regulations and HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Ability to thrive in high-volume, fast-paced environments
- Valid Arizona driver's license required for deliveries
