Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Operate automated dispensing equipment and IV admixture systems
- Maintain sterile compounding environments and procedures
- Process insurance claims and third-party billing
- Provide patient education on medication usage
- Ensure compliance with DEA and state pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license
- Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Certification through PTCB or ExCPT required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
