Responsibilities
- Dispense prescriptions accurately while verifying all medication orders
- Train and supervise pharmacy technicians on compliance protocols
- Manage inventory control including ordering, receiving, and rotation
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing discrepancies
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records and dispensing logs
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical interventions and patient counseling
- Operate automated dispensing systems and compounding equipment
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 2 years retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of DEA regulations and pharmacy law
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- CPR certification preferred
- Spanish language skills highly desirable
