Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation of pharmaceutical products
- Process insurance claims and manage patient billing inquiries
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and pharmacy documentation
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Ensure compliance with DEA, FDA, and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification in District of Columbia
- Minimum 2 years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Background check and drug screen clearance
