Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing discrepancies
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Operate automated dispensing systems and IV preparation equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
Qualifications
- Active PTCB certification or state pharmacy technician license
- Minimum 2 years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of prescription processing workflows
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of sterile compounding procedures
