Responsibilities
- Perform complex venipuncture and capillary blood collections with precision
- Train and mentor junior phlebotomy staff on best practices
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA and CLIA regulations
- Manage inventory of phlebotomy supplies and equipment
- Process specimens with meticulous attention to detail
- Provide exceptional patient care during high-volume testing periods
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current ASCP or NCPT certification required
- Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA
- Proven track record in patient-centered care
- Experience with LIS/HIS systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Valid North Carolina phlebotomy license
