Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments, equipment, and instrumentation
- Assist surgeons during complex procedures with precision and efficiency
- Monitor inventory and ensure optimal supply management for 15+ operating rooms
- Train junior staff on advanced surgical techniques and safety protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize surgical workflows
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, JCAHO, and AORN standards
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with 3+ years of OR experience
- Specialty certification in cardiovascular or neurosurgical procedures preferred
- Proven expertise in complex orthopedic and trauma surgeries
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing and advanced instrumentation
- Exceptional communication and crisis management skills
- BLS/CPR certification with ability to obtain ACLS within 90 days
