Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields with meticulous attention to detail
- Assist surgeons during complex procedures including orthopedic, neuro, and general surgeries
- Manage surgical equipment inventory and sterilization processes
- Train and mentor junior surgical technologists on best practices
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and Joint Commission standards
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- 3+ years of scrub experience in Level I trauma center
- Advanced certification in specialty (e.g., cardiovascular, neuro)
- Proven leadership experience in surgical settings
- Expertise in robotic-assisted surgical equipment
- BLS/CPR certification with current ACLS preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety protocols
- Ability to work rotating weekends and on-call shifts
