Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient acuity levels in emergency department settings
- Oversee triage protocols and ensure compliance with CMS/JCAHO standards
- Mentor junior nursing staff and conduct quality assurance reviews
- Collaborate with physicians to expedite critical patient pathways
- Implement telehealth triage solutions for remote consultations
- Develop departmental triage training programs and protocols
- Analyze patient flow metrics to optimize department efficiency
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Maryland with 5+ years ED experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN or Master's in Nursing preferred
- 3+ years in triage leadership or charge nurse role
- Expertise in EHR systems (Epic/Cerner)
- Strong decision-making under pressure
- Experience with mass casualty incident protocols
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
