Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and comply with OSHA standards
- Handle and sterilize surgical equipment and instruments
- Document procedural information accurately and efficiently
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure seamless workflow
- Manage inventory and restock supplies in sterile processing areas
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience
- Proficiency in sterile processing techniques
- Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and equipment
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
