Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Assist physicians during clinical procedures including ECGs, injections, and wound care
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Administer medications and perform phlebotomy with minimal patient discomfort
- Schedule appointments, handle insurance verification, and process billing paperwork
- Maintain sterile exam rooms and inventory of medical supplies
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventative care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification and phlebotomy skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA protocols
- Excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity
- Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced environment
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
