Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, including vital signs measurement and medical history documentation
- Assist physicians during clinical procedures and maintain sterile exam environments
- Administer medications, injections, and vaccinations per physician protocols
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient care across departments
- Perform basic lab tests and process specimens for analysis
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows
- Excellent interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced environment
- Associate's degree or equivalent from accredited program
