Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and phlebotomy
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Schedule appointments, arrange referrals, and handle patient correspondence
- Inventory medical supplies and ensure exam rooms are stocked and sanitized
- Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and preventive care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Graduate from accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR certification and BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask effectively
- Indiana state MA certification or eligibility upon hire
