Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Assist physicians during procedures, including injections, wound care, and EKGs
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and confidentiality
- Administer medications and perform lab tests under provider supervision
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Maintain sterile exam environments and inventory of medical supplies
Qualifications
- Graduate from accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification and Colorado MA certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a hospital or urgent care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening
