Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and injections
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment
- Assist providers with patient examinations and minor procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate referrals
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all patient interactions
Qualifications
- Active MA certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- North Carolina MA license in good standing
