Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Administer medications and vaccinations following protocols
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic laboratory tests
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently
- Assist with sterilization of equipment and inventory management
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant program graduate or equivalent certification
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a medical setting
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- BLS certification required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards
