Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Help patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure their comfort and hygiene.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Patient Mobility: Assist patients in moving, walking, or transferring using proper body mechanics and mobility aids.
- Meal Assistance: Serve meals and help patients eat, ensuring dietary restrictions and hydration needs are met.
- Emotional Support: Provide companionship and a compassionate presence to patients to alleviate anxiety and loneliness.
- Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients and follow infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: No prior experience required. However, candidates with CNA certification or previous healthcare experience are preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Genuine empathy and a strong desire to help others.
- Certification: Willingness to obtain CNA certification if not already held.
