Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Accurately document patient histories and electronic health records (EHR)
- Administer medications and vaccinations per physician protocols
- Perform vital signs measurements and basic lab tests
- Sterilize equipment and maintain exam room readiness
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule management
- Assist with insurance verification and billing documentation
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant certificate or associate degree
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Oklahoma medical assistant license (or eligible)
- 2+ years clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Exceptional communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance
