Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Assist physicians during diagnostic procedures and minor treatments
- Perform clinical tasks including EKGs, phlebotomy, and lab specimen collection
- Manage patient flow, schedule appointments, and maintain medical records
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked, sanitized, and compliant with OSHA standards
- Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and preventive care
Qualifications
- Graduate from accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification and Kansas MA certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA and medical compliance protocols
