Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Greet patients, verify demographics, and prepare them for examinations.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, height, weight).
- Assistance: Assist providers during examinations and procedures as directed.
- Admin Tasks: Manage electronic health records (EHR), schedule appointments, and handle incoming calls.
- Labs: Perform basic lab tests, prepare specimens, and assist with phlebotomy when certified.
- Hygiene: Maintain cleanliness of exam rooms and medical equipment to ensure infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA, RMA, or NCMA certification from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office setting.
- License: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required.
- Skills: Proficient in electronic health record systems (Epic, AthenaHealth, etc.).
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills with patients and staff.
- Professionalism: Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
