Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure exam rooms are stocked and sanitized
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Handle administrative tasks including appointment scheduling and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification
- Active MA certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical protocols
- Excellent communication skills and cultural competence
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
