Responsibilities
- Patient Intake: Greet patients, verify insurance, and prepare them for their provider.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Assistance: Assist physicians and nurses during examinations and procedures.
- Injections: Administer immunizations and injections as directed by the provider.
- Lab Work: Perform basic lab tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Documentation: Update patient medical records and ensure accuracy in the EHR system.
Qualifications
- Certification: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification: Current CMA or RMA certification preferred.
- Experience: 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician office setting.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- License: Valid CPR and BLS certification.
- Computer: Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) software.
