Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and collect specimens
- Administer injections, medications, and perform EKG procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health systems
- Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures
- Schedule appointments and manage patient correspondence
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Coordinate referrals and communicate with specialty departments
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Oklahoma state MA license (if applicable)
