Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories accurately
- Assist providers during clinical procedures and administer medications per protocol
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic laboratory tests with precision
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Schedule appointments, handle insurance verifications, and process billing forms
- Maintain sterile exam environments and inventory of medical supplies
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Graduate from accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification
- Current CPR/BLS certification and Wisconsin MA license
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in outpatient or primary care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred) and medical software
- Excellent phlebotomy and EKG skills with proven competency
- Strong communication skills with ability to multitask effectively
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities
