Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures in a professional manner.
- Vitals & Assessment: Accurately measure and record vital signs, height, weight, and BMI for all patients.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient check-in/check-out processes, update electronic health records (EHR), and prepare medical charts.
- Phlebotomy & Lab: Collect blood and other specimens for lab tests following strict safety protocols.
- Infection Control: Maintain a clean, sanitized environment and adhere to all OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients and staff to ensure a smooth workflow.
Qualifications
- Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Skills: Proficiency in phlebotomy, EKG, and electronic health record systems (Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to work well under pressure.
