Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories accurately
- Assist physicians during diagnostic procedures and minor treatments
- Administer medications and injections following established protocols
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision
- Coordinate patient education materials and post-visit instructions
- Maintain clean, sterile examination environments and inventory control
- Facilitate smooth clinic workflows and patient flow management
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/Meditech preferred)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- New York State medical assistant license (if applicable)
