Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, including vital measurements and medical history documentation
- Assist providers during clinical procedures and diagnostic tests
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by physician protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow and optimize clinic efficiency
- Perform basic laboratory tests and specimen processing
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Associate's degree in Medical Assisting or related field
