Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures while maintaining strict confidentiality
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures in compliance with protocols
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and attention to detail
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure exam rooms are stocked and sanitized
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Handle administrative duties including scheduling, billing, and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Active MA certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) from accredited institution
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- CPR/BLS certification maintained throughout employment
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- Strong interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
